Killing weeds without the use of herbicides could be in your future

The company Carbon Robotics has developed a machine that they say will transform the agricultural industry by killing weeds in a more eco-friendly way: it's a robot that shoots them with lasers.
Developed for large-scale farming, it identifies weeds with advanced cameras and artificial intelligence and then uses targeted laser beams to eliminate them.
With the LaserWeeder, the days of using herbicides could be numbered. Weeds are one of the biggest problems farmers (and gardeners) face. The most common way of controlling them? Potentially toxic herbicides.
This technology minimizes the need for chemical herbicides, reduces soil disturbance, and promotes sustainable farming by efficiently controlling weeds without harming crops.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a hand-held tool to zap weeds in your garden? We're hoping a company will come up with a tool just like the LaserWeeder for home gardeners soon!
