There's so much to love about growing peonies
Peonies are lush, fragrant flowering plants beloved for their large blooms and vibrant colors, making them a favorite in gardens and bouquets.
They thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, blooming in late spring or early summer, and can live for decades. Hhighly deer resistant and not prone to pests (except ants which don't eat them and don't contribute to blooming).
It goes without saying that peony blooms are spectacular (and they have a beautiful fragrance too).
Cut back the plant to the ground and cover with mulch for winter protection.
