Black Forest Garden Club President Dennis Volz hosted a tour of his gardens and landscape in the Pinery last year, and many in attendance asked about the ingenious netting over the top of his garden. Dennis' easy solution is garden nets from Major Surplus.
Tear proof (they hold up in the wind), rot proof, fire resistant, and lightweight. $9 for a 5 x 8 panel. Dennis recommends getting the nets in black, which let in plenty of light and keep the garden warm.
