Tips for making bulb planting easy
Planting depth: rule of thumb is to plant most bulbs two to three times as deep as the bulb itself is tall.
Soil: bulbs like well-draining soil - be sure to till the soil well where you plan to plant and add compost to improve drainage
Watering: water well after planting to get a start on root growth
Cluster: plant bulbs close together in masses for best show in Spring
Sun: most bulbs like good sunlight, but will also thrive in sun/part-shade areas
Remember that different bulb varieties may have specific planting requirements, so always check the package instructions or do some research for the specific bulbs you are planting. With proper care, your spring-flowering bulbs should come back year after year.
