The bluebird carries the sky on his back. - Henry David Thoreau
By installing and maintaining bluebird boxes along carefully managed trails, volunteers help offset habitat loss and provide safe nesting sites for species like the mountain and western bluebird. The project not only supports bird conservation but also connects communities to Colorado’s open spaces and the joy of stewardship.
This volunteer-run project aims to improve the vitality of bluebird populations and to inform and educate Coloradans about bluebirds. From April through August, volunteers of all ages are needed to help monitor the nest boxes.
